Here is the next installment of our Winter 2016 Inspiration Board Collection…Enjoy!
Starting to cut the paper from the welcome pack is always the hardest part for me! When I looked at the paper on the flower trim. I needed something more – but do I dare cut my beautiful stripes? Jen says I am the artist in charge!
For the layout I wanted use the flowers from the welcome gift and I had this vision of a flower as a frame for the picture. Emily suggested a white marker on the flower, but it didn’t work as well as I would have liked.
I wanted to try and make a card that was somehow connected to the layout- so I traced the flower – then used the embossing folder. I also wanted to try my new aqua painter which I used on the embossed white card.
Layering as many of the patterns is always a challenge. At first I thought I would put the layers on white, but I decided the background pink was even better than the white background. I love my Celebrate stamp and was so excited to use a variety of colors on the stamp. I don’t usually use my markers, but it was fun to color each of the sayings a different color!
One of my new Paper Pumpkin kits came with flower stamps called Blissful Bouquet. I was excited to try the new stamps on my own creation. It was fun trying to use all my Stampin’ Spot colors to see how many flowers I could fit! When I was finished I felt like something was missing! Emily suggested using liquid pearls in the center of the flowers to make it stand out even more and it looked great!
I really wanted to try and use my new balloon bash stamps. I wanted to experiment and try to use a variety of colors on the stamp. I made a bow and wasn’t sure where to use it – but it was perfect on top of this card.
This card uses a variety of papers – I also wanted to have all the papers seen at once. I was glad the way the stamp worked on the circle – the flower trim is exactly where it needs to be.
Stay tuned for even more Inspiration Board projects! 🙂
